Managing to maintain their composure during the long exposure time required for a tintype photograph is not one, but TWO good dogs who I hope were rewarded with treats and love as they have rewarded their owners with this photograph.
Anonymous Tintype Photograph, circa 1870 Collection Jim Linderman
Oh, I really like this. I have a small collection of cabinet cards that show dogs with their owners, and also some RPPC of just dogs. On several of them, the owners have written their names - Puppy, Quinto, Tiny, etc. I too hope all those dogs were rewarded with treats! I figure they all must have been much loved, especially to have their photos taken so long ago.
