THIS is how to open a film. Above is an original still photograph, collection Jim Linderman, showing the stunning opening of the film Crime Without Passion being produced. Enjoy this clip...and marvel.
Jim Linderman blog about surface, wear, form and authenticity in self-taught art, outsider art, antique american folk art, antiques and photography. Dull tool and dim bulb were the only swear words my father ever used. Items from the Jim Linderman collection of vernacular photography, folk art, ephemera and curiosities. ReplyDeleteWOW! I mean... WOW!
ReplyDeleteGreat find! The actress is either Dorothy Bradshaw, Fraye Gilbert, or Betty Sundmark (I wrote something briefly about this film last year at http://www.bookoftheerinyes.com/journal/2008/12/furies-from-the-1930s/ )
