This reminds me of something an art history teacher mentioned in art college. It was in regards to the Venus de Milo. The statue was found and sold. Then a bit later the arms were actually found and the buyer was approached. The buyer didn't want them so they were tossed. Perhaps the buyer of this enticing piece said, "Nah. I'm good. Leave it like this. Im fond of blockheads."
