Hi,
ReplyDeleteI has been following your blog with with growing wonder. I think these images are wonderful, but was there any legend or explanation with them? I would love a bit more context.
Thanks,
Peter
Thank you very much! No title, no imprint, no author. 30 numbered pages, pamphlet The 6 figures shown here are the "cover", no text. Each subsequent page has a small paragraph describing the action (as it were) The images I didn't show are quite graphic, illustrations of female anatomy and ovum getting to know sperm. A curious little book which I presume was either given to patients by a doctor or circulated among women friends. It is the only book I've ever seen without a title.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it was given to non-English speaking immigrants by doctors?
